ERIKA BRIBIESCA, LPC ASSOCIATE
Erika Bribiesca is a Licensed Professional Counselor Intern who believes in creating a safe and supportive therapeutic environment where individuals can work towards their treatment goals. She considers trust to be an essential part of her work with individual clients, couples, and families. Her training in school settings, agencies, and intensive outpatient programs has inspired her to specialize in working with adolescents as well as young adults. Her clinical interests include treating self-harm behaviors, self-esteem issues, anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, and interpersonal difficulties. Erika utilizes an integrative theoretical approach grounded in Psychodynamic Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Experiential Therapy. She invites the exploration of cognitive, emotional, physical, and spiritual experiences to assist individuals in embracing their authenticity. Erika believes in empowering her clients to develop the tools necessary to implement and maintain restorative change. She cherishes assisting individuals in practicing the skills necessary to cultivate hope, find purpose, and nurture meaningful connections. Erika graduated from the University of Texas with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. She then earned a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of St. Thomas. Her aspiration is to gain further education and training on utilizing body-centered approaches to facilitate healing. Erika’s bicultural identity has led her to develop a passion for supporting clients in navigating multicultural issues. She is an advocate for equitable access to mental health care services.
