Xavier specializes in helping teenagers and young adults who suffer from substance abuse as well as sexual and pornographic compulsions. He also offers Healthy Sexuality Education services. Xavier uses aspects of several different therapeutic modalities in his practice such as Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person- Centered Therapy, and Mindfulness. Xavier is an ally to the LGBTQ+ community and has a wealth of experience helping young people who identify as LGBTQ+.
Xavier is a Recovery Support Therapist in The Lovett Center’s Pathos Mental Health Intensive Outpatient Adolescent program. He also sees individuals and families on an outpatient basis. In Xavier’s experience, addiction typically begins in adolescence and young adulthood. He chooses to work with young clients who suffer in the hopes that with enough therapeutic intervention, they won’t have to become old clients who suffer. Additionally, Xavier offers lectures and presentations on a wide range of behavioral health topics to schools, businesses, and other organizations by request. Outside of the office he enjoys spending time with friends, volunteering, and traveling the world.
