OUR APPROACH

We seek to understand each person in their environment to ensure we meet their treatment needs. By hosting a broad base of experienced therapists, we create opportunities to connect individuals with highly specialized and integrative support unique to The Lovett Center.

The Lovett Center provides clients with the ability to access clinicians who operate in private practice, as well as sliding scale, low-cost counseling service from clinicians that are employees of The Lovett Center.

The center’s breadth of specialized therapeutic services ensures that you receive a referral that meets your specific needs. If you are contacting The Lovett Center and do not have a specific clinician to whom you have been referred, we offer a comprehensive phone screening to help match you with someone who would be the best fit for your needs.

TREATMENT OPTIONS

INDIVIDUAL THERAPY

Individual therapy is perhaps the most common type of psychotherapy. If you wish to tackle anything from depression and anxiety to interpersonal difficulties and loss, individual therapy is a great modality for treatment.

COUPLES THERAPY

Couples therapy is another popular form of therapy, and is apt for dealing with problems spanning from sexual intimacy to communication and boundary setting. If you are dealing with specific relationship issues, then this may be the right approach, provided that both parties are ready and willing to work through their issues in therapy.

FAMILY THERAPY

Family therapy is ideal for working through communication issues that are impacting the healthy functioning of the family. Often the child or adolescent may have the most apparent difficulties, such as acting out in school or other behavioral problems, but the answer often lies in understanding and remedying the systemic problems of communication and boundary issues within the family.

GROUP THERAPY

Group therapy is an excellent modality for therapy. Depending on the type of group, participants may learn specific skills, address interpersonal dynamics, deal with systemic dynamics that emerge in the group, process grief and loss, or even discuss the process of finding meaning and purpose in life. Since it covers so many parts of a person’s experience in life, many therapists find it to be a powerful approach for facilitating change.

INTENSIVE OUTPATIENT PROGRAM

Pathos

The Pathos program provides mental health intensive outpatient program services. We have a team approach to therapy that utilizes highly skilled clinicians with a wide variety of expertise who provide appropriate clinical hours of therapy per week to meet each client’s needs. For enrollment in this program, clients participate in a well-rounded initial evaluation that provides a thorough assessment of their individual needs. This information is used to pair clients with several members of our clinical team for individual therapy, recovery support, and couples or family therapy.

PATHOS VALUES

  • Programming with intentionality
  • Small by design groups
  • Development of humility, integrity, and responsibility
  • Restoration of honesty & rebuilding of trust
  • Creation of supportive relationships with accountability
  • Encouragement of service to others

PATHOS SERVICES

Our services are divided into two tracks and three client groups based on each client’s needs and stage of life.

PSYCHOLOGICAL TRACK

This track focuses on treating a wide range of mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, thought disorders and personality disorders.

DUAL DIAGNOSIS TRACK

In addition to treating co-occurring mental health issues comprehensively, this track focuses on treating addictive disorders. It uses the Twelve Step model and other proven therapeutic techniques.

YOUNG ADULT GROUP

This group serves young adults ranging in age from approximately 18 to 29 years. Our experience shows that this age group suffers from specific challenges related to this stage of life. To create sustained recovery, we address these age-specific concerns by tailoring their treatment to include one-to-one recovery support, vocational assessment, a high level of accountability and further help in developing their autonomy.

PROFESSIONALS GROUP

This group serves high-achieving adults who often suffer tremendous pressures that compound their work difficulties and interfere with successful personal relationships. With these professionals, we work to address the specific concerns they have in finding a balance between life and work, managing their health and well-being, and improving their personal lives.

PHILOSOPHY

We offer multiple levels of care that allow for our clients to step down their therapeutic support based on their individual needs.
