Arizbeth Maciel is an outpatient therapist and group therapist at The Lovett Center. Before joining Lovett, she interned in a range of settings, including work with children, adolescents, and adults in intensive outpatient programs, crisis intervention, and couples therapy. She developed expertise in treating anxiety, depression, and life transitions while gaining experience in play therapy and crisis management.
Her academic background includes research on anxiety and depression among first-generation children, and on therapy’s impact on young adults. At Lovett she facilitates groups in the Intensive Outpatient Program and provides outpatient therapy, focused on helping clients navigate difficult periods and reach their own goals. She values building strong therapeutic relationships and supporting clients through their personal growth.
Outside of work, Arizbeth enjoys exploring Houston’s food scene and spending time with her family.
