Makayla Napier has always been passionate about helping others, and through her roles as an intake clinician and postgraduate fellow she creates a nurturing and empathic environment for individuals navigating mental health challenges. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology before furthering her studies and obtaining a Master’s degree in counseling from the University of Houston. During her final year of graduate school, Makayla completed a yearlong internship with The Lovett Center.

As an intake clinician, Makayla is honored to be a part of one of the first steps of an individual’s healing journey. She recognizes that it takes courage to seek counseling, and she is committed to walking alongside each person on their path to healing. Working with clients individually, she uses an integrative, client-centered approach, tailoring her therapeutic process to suit each individual’s unique needs and fostering a trusting therapeutic relationship. In her free time, Makayla enjoys traveling, watching classic TV shows and movies, and spending time with family and friends.
