About

Where the work
begins.

As an Intake Clinician for The Lovett Center, Megan Heath supports clients who are beginning, or exploring new ways to enhance, their therapeutic journey. She starts by gaining a comprehensive picture of the specific needs of each client through an intake assessment, then collaborates with them to create a clear path forward. Throughout that first step, Megan works to foster a respectful, authentic, and empathetic environment, setting a sturdy foundation for the therapeutic process to begin.

Her approach is shaped by extensive case management experience with survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, the unhoused population in Houston, and refugees. Drawing on that understanding, Megan brings a sociocultural perspective to her work with clients. Away from Lovett, she enjoys riding her bike, practicing yoga, and listening to audiobooks. Megan looks forward to meeting clients at this step in their therapeutic journey.
