About

A warm space to learn,
grow, and cope.

Noemi Chenu is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who provides psychotherapy to individuals, families, couples, and groups. With extensive experience across both inpatient and outpatient mental health care, she is adept at creating a warm, supportive space where clients can learn, grow, and cope with life’s challenges. At The Lovett Center she serves as an IOP Group Facilitator and an individual and family therapist, leading group work in the Intensive Outpatient Program directed by IOP Program Director Ellie Hemmat.

Noemi has trained in a range of evidence-based treatments, including cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, cognitive processing therapy for the treatment of trauma, and the collaborative assessment and management of suicidality. Her work is also informed by attachment theory and mindfulness-based approaches. When working with couples and families, she uses Emotionally Focused Therapy, an empirically validated approach that helps resolve the pain and hurt caused by negative cycles of interaction and creates a more secure connection.

A thoughtful and attentive clinician, Noemi is passionate about helping her clients learn more about themselves and work toward meaningful change.
