John B. Connally is a Licensed Master Social Worker who provides psychotherapy to individuals and groups at The Lovett Center. He takes a supportive and nurturing approach, believing in the importance of helping clients understand the issues they face, identify their strengths, and chart a path for change and personal growth. At Lovett he serves as an IOP group facilitator and individual therapist, leading group work in the Intensive Outpatient Program led by Jamie Patin.
John B. is trained in a range of evidence-based treatments, including cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, person-centered therapy, and psychodynamic therapy. The approach he uses with a particular client depends on that client’s perspective, situation, and needs. He believes in a collaborative approach to care, working with clients to determine what is best for them.
John B. has extensive experience working with people in the recovery community as well as the LGBTQ population.
